Prism Health System began an Associate Member program in 2012 as a result of vendors approaching Prism Health System to see if other Not-for-Profit organizations could participate in our group purchasing programs. Initially, the group purchasing program was only available to behavioral healthcare organizations in Summit and Stark counties, but in 2013 Prism Health System expanded the program to include any non-profit in the State of Ohio or contiguous states
Since its inception, Prism Health System has expanded this program into an Administrative Services Organization (ASO) promoting group purchasing, as well as consulting services in the areas of Human Resources, Information Technology, and Accreditation Services (CARF, JCAHO).
The ASO focuses on cost savings and back office efficiencies.
TIER I Membership
Associate Membership Program
The TIER I membership is available to any Not-for-Profit organization that wishes to become an Associate Member. To become an Associate Member, there is a minimal annual fee based on the yearly revenues of the organization.
Prism Health System has determined those organizations that pay this minimal fee are more likely to fully participate in the program, showing a return on their investment of six to twenty times the annual fee.
An Associate Member has access to all purchasing programs. Access to the consulting programs are at an additional cost based on the services(s) being requested. Tier I Members will be featured on the Prism Health System web site and Career Job Postings.
TIER II Membership
Associate Membership Program State-wide Client Call Center and Referral, Insurance & Utility Programs
As a TIER II Member, the member has access to all programs offered under the TIER I Membership, plus utility programs and the State-wide Call Center.
In 2013, Prism Health System developed a 24/7 toll free State-wide Call Center for individuals needing access to emotional, mental health, or drug/alcohol treatment.
Individuals needing these services will be referred to a Prism Managing Member agency or TIER II Associate Member agencies based on a decision tree created to match the individual needs of the caller with the appropriate professionals or emergency services in the geographic area the caller resides.
TIER III Membership
Associate Membership Program State-wide Call Center & Referral Program Strategic Management Member
The TIER III Membership Level is all-inclusive of the Associate Membership, the State-wide Call Center & Referral Program, and the strategic management/leadership of Prism Health System.
With the expansion of Prism Health System, Prism is looking for Tier III Members in various areas throughout Ohio and contiguous States. Prism Health System has a primary goal of being the most comprehensive collaboration of Not-for-Profit organizations. To accomplish this goal, Prism Health System is looking for results oriented organizations to contribute to the leadership of Prism Health. These organizations need to have visionary leadership with an understanding of the economies of scale that can be created by establishing a wide footprint amongst Not-for-Profit organizations.
