Prism Health System began in 2011 with the primary goal of becoming the largest non-profit collaborative in the State of Ohio; focusing on clinical and operational best practices, cost reduction programs, and back office efficiencies. In 2011, Prism Health began a purchasing program with a handful of purchasing contracts for the original four member behavioral health organizations.
Today Prism Health is serving more than thirty non-profit organizations ranging from churches, walk-in centers, advocate organizations, and behavioral healthcare agencies. In addition to more than thirty purchasing programs, Prism Health provides multiple consulting services and has recently developed a 24/7 call center. The call center was designed to assist any individual in Ohio with emotional, mental health, homeless outreach challenges, or drug/alcohol addiction concerns to make a single telephone call to be connected with an appropriate professional for help.
